This coming Wednesday Wizards of the Coast are providing 300+ streamers and content creators with special preview accounts on Magic Arena to try out Magics latest set, Guilds of Ravnica before it is official released. Names you may know like Cheshire Plays Games, Pleasant Kenobi and Gaby Spartz will all be heading online to play a ton of Limited, as well as having a sneak peek at what the new Standard season is going to look like. Why are we so excited about this you might ask? Because we are one of the lucky few to be invited to participate.
That’s right. This coming Wednesday at 16:00 til Thursday at 16:00, Abbie, Seb and myself will be logging on to Magic Arena for this special Guilds of Ravnica-Preview Stream. What is more, we are planning to play as much of it as humanly possible, and are currently working out a schedule to figure out who will be streaming at what times. We are super jazzed to be included in this event, and we want to thank Wizards of the Coast in advance for the preview account and access to this special event.
The question now remains, what are we going to play? Well a lot of Limited, that’s for sure. But you better believe we are going to test out some home brews during this 24 hours of Magic fuelled mayhem. We have already tried some decks out already, but now we have the whole set to work with now. So, as a bit of a Pre Guilds of Ravnica-Preview Stream, we aregoing to show off a few of the lists we will try and play with over the course of the event. Will they do well? Have we already broken the meta? Read on to find out.
Samuel Peters-G/B Rock
To anyone who knows him, it will come to no surprise that Samuel Peters loves himself a little bit of value. He also enjoys the finer things in Magic, especially premium removal spells. So, it was a bit of a given he would want to test out the best removal we have seen printed in a long time.
Assassin’s Trophy deals with most threats in any format, and Samuel has used it as the base for a pretty spice list. This G/B Rock deck is a solid Mid-Range brew that can ramp up into some devastating playoffs in the late game. I can wait to see it in action.

Sebastian Mansley-Jund
But what happens if you want to take advantage of the amazing mana fixing we are about to have in Standard? That was the question Sebastian wanted to answer and answer it he did with his own take on a Mid-range strategy.
This Jund deck has a lot of the same pieces Samuels brew had. But rather than ramping into game ending threats, Sebastian simply wants to out value his opponents into oblivion. Had attack from Kitesail Freebooter, card advantage from Ruin Raider, and game enders like Legion Warboss and Rekindling Phoenix aim to drown opponents in a never-ending sea of value from which there is no escape.

James Wise-RDW
But what if you want to just watch the word burn? What if you are an aggressive player and are going to miss R/B Chainwhirler decks? Well worry not my friends, Master of Magics resident red mage has you covered.
This deck has a straight forward game plan. Go. For. The. Face. With everyone wanting to play greedy mana decks with the reprinted Shocklands, players will be shocking themselves left and right. This deck aims to take advantage of that by blasting them with tons of direct damage. Live the dream and crush your opponents before they can even have time to react, you know you want to.
